Another year another birthday. Your favorite dynamic duo stepped out on the town and we had no intention on behaving ourselves. The goal? Keep it cute, eat good food, wear something fabulous and enjoy every minute of being celebrated.
But there are a few rules…
- Rule #1: You do not count calories. Not today. lol
- Rule #2: You do not ask what time dinner is because, baby…we’ve been eating all day.
- Rule #3: Acting your age is absolutely not allowed.
As always, we wore matching outfits but this year we decided to ditch the long, flowy dresses for something fun and flitry. The colors were intentional. Red signifies passion and boldness and purple represents luxury, softness and mystique. Add a cute lil’ birthday sash with a tiara and we were in celebration mode.

Over mocktails and lobster we asked everyone at the table to each share 1 thing that they’ve learned over the years. It needed to be something that has honored their journey and served them well. What a blessing it was to be in the company of such beautifully introspective people. The growth and the grace was evident.
Next, we took our talents to the rooftop deck of the RIU Plaza Chicago. The glass balcony is suspended 200 feet above street level, with a gorgeous view of the city skyline. It was the perfect place to eat cake, laugh and listen to good music.
Wait, did that cake say 51 years old?!? Yes darling, it sure does. Its amazing what eating right, exercise and proper skincare does for a woman (and minding your own business, it truly preserves you). But honestly, we are more than appreciative of every compliment and even those who genuinely do not believe us. We love you too. Lol
